[10/15/14 18:20:29] <Tectu> I'm really curious why CodeLite is that unpopular.
[10/15/14 18:20:52] <Tectu> I developed without any IDE (using VIM and Make) for the past 5 years now, just because there are no good IDEs out there that meet some very simple requirements
[10/15/14 18:21:18] <Tectu> and as I am now forced to work on windows, I got very upset again so I wrote some article about that on LinkedIn. Somebody then pointed me to this one.
[10/15/14 18:22:56] <DavidGH> s/unpopular/unknown I suspect
[10/15/14 18:23:17] <DavidGH> It's fairly well-known in the wxWidgets world[10/15/14 18:23:40] <DavidGH> That's the toolkit that it uses, and most of the users do too
[10/16/14 13:21:24] <midipix> I really wonder how come so many people have never heard of codelite, despte it being (in my opinion) much better than codeblocks
[10/16/14 13:22:13] <DavidGH> C::B got there first
[10/16/14 13:22:52] <midipix> and my understanding is that codelite was written pretty much from scratch, correct?[10/16/14 13:23:31] <DavidGH> Yes. Though eranif was originally a C::B user, I don't think any code was copied.
