Thanks, that worked. But do you have any idea why that happened? This game is great and was working fine, but I've never had that happen before.

You really saved my ass. Thanks again.

Because that game is buggy... Or maybe genlib is.

Neither do I.
What do you do before playing CF ?

7

Before playing CF I usually don't do anything. I just turn on my calculator, switch the current folder to CF, and run it.

On a side note, having nothing to do with my other problem, how much free RAM is usually needed to run the game? It was doing fine with 150, but my RAM mysteriously dropped...

And, while I have your attention:
When I send a file to my calculator (Ti 200) and archive it, it usually frees up the RAM and lessens the Flash ROM, which it should as archiving it just transfers it from one to another and makes it read only.
Other times, after I archive something, the RAM does not go up, the Flash ROM only goes down. Even when I do a reset of the RAM only, it doesn't go back up to what it should be at. With NOTHING going unarchived, what's keeping my RAM down?

8

1. 150 should be just fine.
2. Are you sure some "saved files" or "new entries in the Home App" are not created ?

9

What's a new entry in the Home App? Every time any variables are created in my calculator that I can view in the file/folder, I archive them ASAP, and unarchive them when I need to edit them.

Side note, since the Kirby page is in french:
I was playing good ol' Kirby and hit the apps key, pausing the game and turning off the calc. Game works great, everything's fine, but the last time I did it I didn't turn it back on until after a few minutes, upon which it would not. Now my calculator won't turn on. Any ideas?

1. [2nd]+[lock(hand)]+[on]
2. Remove batteries.
3. etc.

I think you should read carrefully also this FAQ: http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~pad/faq/

3.6.14. My calculator crashed or froze with a black bar across the top of the screen. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

If you have run a program which has locked up, you may be able to use 'escape' mechanisms of various kernels (if you have them installed) or nostub launching utilities (if you used one). Under PreOS or Universal OS, press ESC and ON at the same time. Under DoorsOS, use STO and ON.

If that doesn't exit the program (or you have another kind of crash, like seeing a black bar across the top of the screen) then you will have to try to reset the calculator. The first thing to do is to press 2ND+HAND+ON on the TI-92 Plus or 2ND+LEFT+RIGHT+ON on the TI-89. If this does not work, you should then try removing all batteries (including the lithium backup battery) from the calculator to completely clear the memory. Using either one of these methods should still preserve archive memory, as described in the next section).
