devfs est obselete dans les kernel 2.5/2.6 et remplacé par udev
qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq /dev file system support (OBSOLETE) qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqk
x CONFIG_DEVFS_FS: x
x x
x This is support for devfs, a virtual file system (like /proc) which x
x provides the file system interface to device drivers, normally found x
x in /dev. Devfs does not depend on major and minor number x
x allocations. Device drivers register entries in /dev which then x
x appear automatically, which means that the system administrator does x
x not have to create character and block special device files in the x
x /dev directory using the mknod command (or MAKEDEV script) anymore. x
x x
x This is work in progress. If you want to use this, you *must* read x
x the material in <file

ocumentation/filesystems/devfs/>, especially x
x the file README there. x
x x
x Note that devfs no longer manages /dev/pts! If you are using UNIX98 x
x ptys, you will also need to enable (and mount) the /dev/pts x
x filesystem (CONFIG_DEVPTS_FS). x
x x
x Note that devfs has been obsoleted by udev, x
x <
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/hotplug/>. x
x It has been stripped down to a bare minimum and is only provided for x
x legacy installations that use its naming scheme which is x
x unfortunately different from the names normal Linux installations x
x use. x
