how to install cf? - Page 1

i have an ti89 platinum and preos0.70 since yesterday, so I'm a newbie
i send the cinstall.89p from beta1-89-en (and only this one) to the ti and run it.
after the second screen there is an error "program not found"
can u help me

1. Have you set the calculator to English Language?
2. You need to send cinstall, then tinstall.
3. What is displayed on the screen?
4. You will need also the CF v3.36 engine.

To install it, you must install CF (See CF README),
then erase the 'system' folder,
and install PreOS 0.70 with stdlib (See Preos README).
Then erase 'cf\cf' and replace it with the new 'cf' (You will have to move it in CF folder too).

I am having some really annoying problems trying to install this. When I run cinstall, it goes to the screen where it says "send tinstall to calc now and press enter when done." After I send it, it brings up the apps and cinstall crashes and when I tried to rerun cinstall, it wont go pass the "send tinstall" screen. No matter what I do, i cant get pass that. I have an Ti 89 titanium. I have preos .70. Please help

Coul you try installing by hand:

1.Send tinstall, and all packs to your calculator.

2. Run:
tinstall("cfpack1")
tinstall("cfpack2")
tinstall("cfpack3")
tinstall("cfpack4")
tinstall("cfpack5")
tinstall("cfpack6")

3. Erase system/pres and system/stdlib if there are.

4. Install preos 0.70

5. Send and replace cf\cf by the new version (cf-v3.36).
